Smakprov på framtiden
Den här tyska duon, som består av André Schitteck och Christoph Lemke, har gjort musik i olika konstellationen under en längre tid i band som Proceed och Dr. Dupont för att nämna några.
André och Christoph levererar här ett ypperligt smakprov från den kommande fullängdaren. Det är energi och analoga tongångar som genomsyrar detta alster.
Man startar upp med “People” som är en hård, kompromisslös dänga som andas sent 80-tal. Ljudbilden har sedan “Hass” smutsats till en aning, men för den delen så är det en väldigt tydlig ljudbild där ingenting försvinner i mängden.
Andraspåret, tillika titelspåret “Ein mann mehr”, är precis så man vill höra denna typ av musik: Smattrande trummor, energiska analogbasar och sång på tyska. Om öppningsspåret var bra så lyfter skivan med denna låt. De två kommande spåren är mer som utfyllnad, men för den delen är det riktigt bra låtar. Jag personligen kommer utan tvekan lyssna en hel del på “Loyalty” framöver.
Efter de fyra originalspåren så följer (som sig bör) en handfull remixer av i det här fallet av väldigt namnkunniga band som Orange Sector, Plastic Noise Experience och Spark!. Av dessa så är “Ich Bin” (från det föregående albumet) den som andas “Ein mann mehr” mest där Orange Sector har gjort ett riktigt bra jobb i remixerstolen. Titelspåret har ärats med tre remixar, där Plastic Noise Experiences remix gör den till en riktigt härlig dansgolvsvältare.
Denna release ger mig hopp om framtiden, trots att den andas dåtid, och kommer albumet i närheten av den här EP:n så kommer jag att njuta i fulla drag!

A view of what’s around the corner
This German duo consists of André Schitteck and Christoph Lemke and they’ve been making music in various constellations for a long time in bands like Proceed and Dr. Dupont to name a few.
André and Christoph delivers an excellent taste of the upcoming full-length album and it is energy and analog sounds that permeate this work.
It starts up with “People” which is a tough, uncompromising wallop that breathes late 80’s. The sound is a bit more dirty compared to “Hass” but is not at all imprecise. Overall the soundstage is very clear where nothing is lost.
The second track, wich is also the title track “Ein Mann mehr” is exactly how you want to hear this kind of music: Clattering drums, energetic analog basslines and singing in German. If the opening track was good – this EP really lifts with this song. The next two tracks are more like fillers, but for that matter there are really good songs to be found here. Personally will undoubtedly listen alot to “Loyalty” from here on.
After the four original tracks we’re given (as usual) a handful of remixes, in this case by well-known bands like Orange Sector, Plastic Noise Experience and Spark!. Of the bunch it is “Ich bin” (from the previous album) that breathes “Ein mann mehr” the most where Orange Sector has done a really good job. The title track has been honored with three remixes, where Plastic Noise Experience’s remix makes it a lovely dance floor-filler.
This release gives me hope for the future, even though it breathes of the past and if the forthcoming album gets even close to this EP I will enjoy it to the fullest!
